REV.SR. REGINA IGNATIA AFLAH, ESQ.

Vice Superior General (Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer, Accra)

Sr. Regina Ignatia Aflah is a civil lawyer and a highly enthusiastic and resourceful professional. Sr. Aflah currently works as the Executive Director for the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer Sisters Foundation (HDRSF) and the Vice Superior General of the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer of Accra, a diocesan religious congregation in Accra founded by the late Bishop Joseph Oliver Bowers.

Sr. Aflah is a member of the Caritas Internationalis Legal Affairs Commission.

Sr. Aflah is a PhD (Candidate) in International Law and Treaty Law with EUCLID University, USA.

She also holds the following qualifications;

Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice- Institute of Legal Practice and Development, Rwanda, Master of Laws (LL.M) Human Rights Law, University of London.

Postgraduate Diploma in Public International Law, University of London, Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Law and Ethics, University of London.

Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Mountcrest University College, Ghana.

Bachelor in Information Communication and Technology, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

MR.SIMOM OKYERE

Board Chairman

A devout Catholic. A product of Queen of Peace Basic School, St Thomas Aquinas SHS, University of Ghana, and Ghana School of Law.
I hold Masters in Law degrees from the George Washington University, and Queen Mary University of London respectively. I am the founder and managing partner of Okyere Consult, a law firm in Accra

MRS VERONICA AMA JACKSON

Vice Board Chairperson

Attended St Michael’s Primary and Middle schools and University Primary School all in Cape Coast. (1961-1968). Went to Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast for Secondary education (1969 – 1974). Attended Wesley College in Kumasi for Post -Secondary Education (1974- 1976).

Trained as a professional teacher and taught at the Basic level of education- Primary & Middle (1976-1977)

Trained in Home Economics at the Specialist Training College, Winneba (1977-1980) and taught at Holy Child School, Cape Coast (1980 – 1982)

Worked in District Education Offices within Ghana Education Service. (1988 – 1991).

Attended University of Ghana, Legon (1991-1994). Dept of Home Science (Economics)

A professional Home Economist who worked at the Ghana Education Service Headquarters for sixteen years (1996 – 2012) in various positions.

Appointed Municipal Director of Education for Tarkwa- Nsuaem Municipality (2012- 2016) Retired from active service in April 2016. Have a son and two daughters.

REV. SR. MARYJOE OCANSEY

Headteacher

Sr Josephine Ocansey is a professional trained teacher. She attended Mount Mary Training College, now Mount Mary College of Education.
She holds a Bachelor of Degree in Basic Education at the University of Education Winneba. She has worked with education service for thirty four years now. Currently at Mother Providencia Catholic school as the headteacher.

MISS SARAH AGYEKUM

Board Secretary

Sarah Agyekum is an experienced tutor with nine years teaching experience. She currently teaches English Language at Mother Providencia Catholic School. She had her Primary education at Base Workshop Basic School, Burma Camp through to Sakumono School Complex for her Junior Secondary School education. She is a proud product of St. Louis Senior High School, Oduom - Kumasi.
She is a trained journalist and holds a B.A. in Communication Studies with specialisation in Journalism from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), now University of Media, Arts and Communications (UniMAC). She also has a certificate in Montessori Jolly Phonics Training from the Ghana Montessori Council. Her love for teaching began during her university and National Service days. She adores children and always wishes to see them excel in their academics.

MR. PATRICK AMOAH SARFO

PTA Chairman/Board Member

Patrick Amoah Sarfo is a seasoned Internal Auditor with the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), bringing over a decade of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, logistics and enterprise risk management.
He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting and Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

He also attended St. Peters Boys Senior Secondary School,Nkwatia.

He is married with three beautiful children.

MRS MARISKA ARABA TAYLOR-DARKO

Board Member

Mariska Araba Taylor-Darko attended Christ the King Int School, Holy Child Sec. School, Cape Coast and St. Mary’s Sec. School, Korle-Gonno, Accra. She also attended Beresford College of English in Kent and Harrow College of Further Education both in the UK.
She trained as a Legal Secretary and a Beautician/Hairdresser. She is a published Author of Children’s books.

She was a former executive member and Treasurer of the Ghana Association of Writers, and a former Director of Ghana Association of Learning and Development, a UK based NGO.

She is a mother of two boys.
